My daughter - Phone and Soccer, not working, help!

I am trying to teach my daughter to kick a soccerball, but she can't put the phone down. Any hints, please help!   

Mother's Day-Things Mothers Would Never Say

I felt it appropriate to post a few thoughts about mothers day over the next couple of days.  I am so grateful for moms, my mom, my wife - mom's are the best.

Anyways, I came across some things a mother would never say...check them out below.

Laughing the best medicine...Do you laugh?

LAUGH, SMILE, CHUCKLE, GIGGLE!

Yes, these are all expressions of being happy.  Are these expressions a part of your daily life?  Do you put yourself in circumstances that allow you to laugh? Do you help others laugh?  What makes you laugh?  Do you feel healthier after you laugh? Take a moment to read some of my notes and than comment on what makes you laugh or any other thoughts you might have.

Wikipedia says...Laughter is an audible expression or the appearance of happiness, or an inward feeling of joy (laughing on the inside). It may ensue (as a physiological reaction) from jokes, tickling or other stimuli. It is in most cases a very pleasant sensation.

We have all heard that laughter is a form of medicine...I learned that a Stanford Medical School study found that after a good laugh, blood pressure, heart rate and muscle tension subside, and leave you in a relaxed state. A guy by the name of Norman Cousins wrote in his book, Anatomy of an Illness, “When you laugh, endorphins, the body’s natural pain-killers, are released.”

So here are my encouragements for you to consider:

1. Laugh and laugh consistently.
2. Make time to be with people who laugh.
3. Think of things that make you laugh and then just laugh about it.
4. Ask the Lord to give you a joyful spirit, a happy spirit, a grateful spirit.
5. Take a break and just reflect on the good things of life.
6. Buy a clean joke book and read it - maybe even memorize a few jokes and than share them with others.  hint:  make sure they are funny enough that people laugh.  I heard that knock knock jokes might not do the job.  Ok I have one for you, if you don't like it, you have to laugh anyways!

I have officially converted too....

I am now an official "maconite", what is this you might ask?  Is this even an actual word?  Well let me say that I don't really know, but it was the first word that came to my mind...See what happened next...

I decided to purchase a mac book; OH MY am I excited and very optimistic to explore a whole new world yet to be uncovered.  This reminds me of my honeymoon with my wife when I decided to go snorkeling at the beach outside of our condo for the first time. Thirty minutes later I came in and with an ecstatic voice I told my wife that I had just experienced a whole new world under the sea.  This is exactly how I feel today, I have found an entire new world!

Random thoughts for a late Friday Night

• Enjoying my new Chinook radio controlled helicopter.  Excited to bring it in the office, but frustrated that I keep crashing it.  Makes me appreciate our military, especially the helicopter pilots.
• Realizing that I am valuing the time with my kiddos more and more each day.  I am preferring hanging with them than doing other things.
• Wondering if our oldest daughter will be potty trained before our fourth child is born.  I really hope so.  Three children in diapers is hard for the nose, garbage, pocketbook, and the soul.
• Nine weeks left till our baby Kasen is born.  Getting more excited everyday.  Thinking about what a complete family will be like.
• Coming to more grips as to how much Jesus loves me.  It is so hard to fathom how much He loves me. I want to grow even more in this understanding.
• We have a great staff team at Living Water.
• Excited about the weekend coming up.  2nd message of the Reveal Series.
• The Mariners have won three games in a row.  They scored double digit runs tonight.
• Yikes...I am finding all new ways to love my wife, this is way cool!
• Just plain excited about life!

Our baby is now 16 weeks old in the womb - check out the latest developments.

I am so amazing at how the Lord is so detailed, complete, and orderly.  I read this today from babycenter.com about our child's present growth development and it just blew me away.  The Lord is good!  Check it out...
